Security Officer Qualifications:

 

Applicants must:

  • Pass a FBI background check
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Speak, write, and read the English language
  • Have adequate hearing to perform security related jobs
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Own reliable transportation
  • Be drug free
  • Have a valid cell phone number
  • Be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Be physically capable to stand, walk or patrol the majority of their shift

Requirements for being a successful APS Officer:

  • Be a positive and effective communicator
  • Successfully resolve problems and issues
  • Be quick thinking and acting
  • Have a high priority for safety, security and prosperity
  • Be alert and observant
  • Be reliable and dependable
  • Be perceived by the client and community as competent and respected
  • Maintain training and industry standards
